A joint Village Defence Party (VDP) meeting of Lunglei Town to discuss drug awareness, cybercrime and road safety & traffic rules was organised on 8.8.2023 at SP Conference Hall, Lunglei, attended by 35 VDP Office Bearers representing most localities of Lunglei Town. Through open discussions and collaborative efforts, attendees shared insights and strategies to enhance public awareness about the dangers of drug abuse, mitigate the risks associated with cybercrime, and promote adherence to road safety protocols. The meeting also came to a consensus on raising a Joint VDP unit to represent the whole of Lunglei town. The VDP members expressed their sincere appreciation for the Lunglei Police’s ongoing dedication to fostering a safer environment and facilitating platforms for open dialogue on pressing issues.
