On April 13 2018, Center of Excellence for Sports, a programme and vision for the growth and development of Football in North-East India under the aegis of the Tata Trust was inaugurated at Police Centre building, 3rd Bn MAP Complex Mualpui, Aizawl. DGP Pu Balaji Srivastava IPS and several other dignitaries attended the ceremony. The provisioning of Police building for the promotion of football is expected to foster better understanding and closer relations between Mizoram Police and the sports community of the state.
