On 08.11.2020, Champhai Police staff & AH & Vety Dept joint checkingrecovered and seized 11 (eleven) Piglets Value of Rs. 1,00,000/- at Sesih Village which were transported by Lalmanga(48) s/o Liankhawtin of Sesih Village from Myanmar vioiiating District Magistrate, Champhai Order No. J. 11012/1/2014 – DC (CPI) Dt. 21.10.2020. Hence CPI PS 08.11.2020 U/S 269/188IPC r/w Sec 5(5) / 5 (9) (of the Mizoram Containment and prevention of Covid -19) Act 2020 was registered.
On 18.11.2020, a written FIR was submitted by SI Joseph Lalhnehzela of Champhai PS that while he along with Champhai PS Plain Cloth staff conducted random checking at Zokhawthar road near Ruantlang Village, they recovered and seized 10(ten) soap cases containing brown powder suspected to be Heroin weighing 138 grams in total from the possession of Lalthlamuana (41) s/o Darsavunga (L) of Ruantlang Mualveng which he concealed inside Mlzo pa satchel. Value of the seized articles was estimated at Rs. 5,00,000/- approx in local market. Hence CPI PS C/NO-136/2020Dt. 18.11.2020 U/S 21(B) ND & PS Act was registered.

On 20.11.2020, an enquiry report was submitted by ASI Samuel Rotlinga of Kawrthah PS stating that while he was on duty at Kawrthah PS he received telephonic information from Johny K.Zonunsanga s/o K.Hrangmanliana (L) of Kawrthah PWD Complex stating that there was a motor cycle (bike) accident in between Kawrthah and Tuidam at about 3 kms south from Kawrthah. One injured person was already brought to CHC Kawrthah by civilians. The injured person Lalthangzauva (38)_ s/o Roliana (L) of Kawrtethawveng already succumbed to his injury. Inquest was conducted over the dead body. All formalities had been observed. During enquiry, it was found that the said bike B/R No. MZ – 08- 3969 (Yamaha Fz) was dashed by unknown vehicle. The cause of accident was found to be due to rash and negligent driving on the part of the driver of the unknown vehicle coming from the opposite sjde. Hence, criminal case was registered and suspected accused person Lalthakima @ Lara (31) s/o Kapkunga of Sairang Electric Veng was arrested and forwarded to court on 20.11.2020 for judicial custody. The said bike and one truck B/R No. MZ-01-U-3683 were seized for scientific examination. |
