A unique and emotional homecoming ceremony of HPC(D) Cadres was held on April 13, 2018 at the Central Training Institute (CTI) of the Mizoram Home Guards & Civil Defence near Sesawng in Aizawl District.
This historical event followed a memorandum of settlement (MOS) signed by the Mizoram Government and HPC(D) in Aizawl on April 2, 2018. 104 Cadres laid down 45 weapons, including 4 sniper rifles, 1 grenade launcher, 9 AK assault rifles, 1 M-16 carbine assault rifle and 13 double barrel guns. They also surrendered 2,892 rounds of ammunition, launcher shells and five radio sets.
