On 26.6.2023, in observance of the International Day against Drug Abuse & Illicit Trafficking, Khawzawl Police carried out disposal of seized drugs by using incinerator at KVK Khawzawl, in the august presence of Addl.DC Khawzawl, Asst.Commissioner of Excise & Narcotics Champhai, DEO Khawzawl, CoDNERC, Sub-HQ.YMA Khawzawl, MHIP and other leaders of NGOs in Khawzawl. 844.09 grams of heroin, valued over Rs.4 Crores in international market rate were destroyed. Prizes for winners of Khawzawl town Inter-High School Essay Competition organised earlier in observance of the World Drug Day were also distributed.
