Khawzawl police rescued 3 exotic wildlife species, suspected to be smuggled from Myanmar

We will never let our guards down against illicit smuggling of wildlife species as their preservation & protection is one of our top priority and responsibility.
On 16.9.2022, Khawzawl Police at Tuisenphai Checkgate rescued 3 exotic wildlife species, suspected to be smuggled from Myanmar from the vehicle and possession of Vanlalrosiama(25) s/o Kailiana, Champhai Bethel Veng and C. Liankunga(52) s/o Ralliantawna, Electric Veng, Champhai. Rescued species include 2 spider monkeys (female with a baby) and 1 Indri Lemur.The rescued endangered wild animals and the vehicle are being handed over to Customs Preventive Force, Champhai.
