In the morning of 9.11.2022, Lunglei District Special Branch (DSB) team conducted operation in between Tlawng bridge – Pukpui and seized 1.747 Kgs (100 hawngs) of heroin, valued ₹8.735 Crores in international market, from the possession of Khupkhankual (25) s/o Tuanvochin and Haudeihchin (25) s/o Tualngaihthanga, both of Champhai Vengthar Tlangnuam. The two accused persons were accompanied by one juvenile also. Lunglei PS Case u/s 21(c)/29 ND&PS Act r/w section 78 JJ Act has been registered for further investigation on forward/ backward linkages.
