#MurderAccused promptly arrested by collaborative efforts. In the early morning of May 16, information was received at #SerchhipPS regarding an unidentified dead body found between Bukpui and Chhiahtlang on NH-54 side. SDPO Serchhip and his team immediately rushed to the place of occurence and started investigation in a meticulous and professional manner. The victim/deceased was later on identified as Lalsangzuala (31) s/o Lalhmahruaia of Mission Vengthlang, Aizawl, who was a casual employee of NHIDCL. Further investigation revealed that the main suspect over the instant case was Lawrence Laldinthara (42) s/o J. Biakthanga (L) of Khawruhlian, Aizawl District. Joint search of the accused person was then immediately conducted by #SerchhipPolice and #AizawlPolice. Owing to the painstaking efforts of search parties, the accused person was arrested on 17.05.2023 afternoon at Aizawl, within less than 48 hours. Till now, involvement of other person(s) has not been revealed from investigation. Serchhip PS case No. 26/2023 Dt 16.05.2023 u/s 302 IPC has been registered and further investigation is still in progress.
