New agreement (MoU) for Centre of Excellence (CoE) signed on August 03, 2018 at PHQ

A new agreement (MoU) for the state-of-the-art Centre of Excellence (CoE) established by Tata Trusts in association with the Government of Mizoram and the Mizoram Football Association was signed on August 03, 2018 at Police Headquarters, Khatla, Aizawl. The new agreement will ensure future of the CoE in the confines of 3rd Battalion MAP’s base in Mualpui.

As per the agreement, Tata Trusts will utilise the Centre of Excellence building at the 3rd Battalion MAP compound in Mualpui till July 31, 2024.

DGP Balaji Srivastava IPS signed the MoU on behalf of Mizoram Police, with the MFA represented by Honorary Secretary Lalnghinglova Hmar and Biswanath Sinha, Zonal Head East and North East India, Tata Trusts signing the MoU as well.

DGP Balaji Srivastava also spoke of his pleasure in their facilities being utilised for the progress of youth and football.

The Tata Trusts Centre of Excellence currently hosts 25 students from the North Eastern states in India. 16 of these students local boys, while Manipur and Assam are represented by 4 students with one from Nagaland. The CoE provides football and school education to its students who are all under 15 years of age.
