#CapacityBuilding is an essential prerequisite for #FutureReadyPolicing, besides resource augmentation. Another significant chapter added in our quest for improving our skills and knowledge to face new challenges including investigation of economic crimes like commercial frauds, currency counterfeiting and crimes related to deposit schemes and securities. A Regional Seminar on Investor Education (Market Intelligence) for Mizoram Police by SEBI was held on 13.1.2023 at Police Headquarters Conference Hall, Aizawl. DGP Pu Devesh Chandra Srivastva IPS graced the inaugural function as Chief Guest. Total 27 Officers & staff (ASI to ASP) attended physically at the place of training and total 50 Officers & staff (ASI – SP) based outside Aizawl attended online through Video Conferencing. Various important topics such as overview of Securities Market, Role of SEBI in regulating the Securities Market, Cyber Security and mechanism for Investor grievances redressal and knowledge session on Digital Frauds, etc. were covered during the training by Resource Persons from SEBI, BSE-IPF, Central Depository Services Limited (CDSL) and RBI Aizawl. We deeply appreciate and thank all the Resource persons for their excellent presentations.
