Serchhip Police caught one habitual offender who had stolen cash

On 30.8.2022, #SerchhipPolice caught one habitual offender Lalremruata (36) s/o R. Lalzuia (L) of Lower Chanmari, Serchhip, who had stolen cash amounting to Rs.94,991/-from one house of Khumtung village by entering the main door that was simply latched, and breaking open a wooden trunk, containing the cash. The stolen cash along with the tool used to break open the trunk lock were recovered. Further investigation revealed his involvement in a previous Serchhip PS theft case also, in which mobile handset v/o ₹ 55,000/- was stolen. The handset was also recovered from his possession.
