After diligent and thorough investigation and meticulous follow up, Emmanuel Lalbiakzauva (24) s/o P.C Chhuahkhama (L) of Bawngthah (Present Address – Ramhlun North) was arrested on 22.2.2023 by members of Special Investigation Team (SIT) of #AizawlPolice in connection with #AizawlPS case dated 18.02.2022 u/s 3 Explosive Substances Act r/w 4 PDPP Act r/w 436 IPC. He was responsible for vandalization of SBI ATM Booth at Republic Venglai with explosives on the early morning of 18.02.2023, as well as in the attempt to loot SBI ATM Booth at Saikhamakawn on the early morning of 21.02.2023, for which Kulikawn PS Case dated 21.02.2023 u/s 427/457/380/511IPC r/w 3 PDPP Act was registered. A number of clothing and other items including his bike, black spray paints and few gelatin sticks were seized from his possession as well as from his residence. The accused had also attempted to loot Apex Bank ATM at Bethlehem Veng, just before vandalizing SBI ATM at Republic Veng. Further interrogation and investigation is in progress.
