On 27.4.2023, the first ever ‘Hackathon (Hack – venture)’ event was inaugurated by Hon’ble Governor Dr Hari Babu Kambhampati, in presence of Pu Devesh Chandra Srivastva IPS, DGP, Mizoram, at Arya Mess Police Hqrs, Aizawl. It was maiden visit of Hon’ble Governor to Police Hqrs too, where ceremonial Guard of Honour was accorded to him.
The next three days will witness a showcase of skills and creativity by tech enthusiasts in NITs across the country and various technical institutions within Mizoram. The event will comprise of cyber security quiz, web development contest and idea pitching contest, with an overall theme of improving police functioning through information technology. The Hackathon will also feature talks by the experts of Central Government agencies such as I4C, NCB, NCRB and other leading experts from the IT industry.
