Complaint received yesterday at Tipa PS (Siaha District) that, during the month of August 2022, unknown miscreants had stolen battery bank, 24 cells from Airtel Tower at Ahmypi village and another 24 cells from Airtel Tower Laki village, valued approx. ₹ 2,00,000/-. Acting swiftly as this results in disruption of mobile communication in the entire area, the thieves involved in this serious crime, Lalruatsanga(27) s/o C.Chawngkhuma of Chhiahtlang (presently at Laki) and Lalrokima(25) s/o Lalnunnema of Bungtlang (presently at Tipa D) were arrested this afternoon by #TipaPS team with recovery of 19 stolen cells from them. Further probe to recover remaining stolen articles is on.
