Zawlnuam Police Outpost (Mamit District) team on 7th May seized 115 bags of urea fertilizer, weighing 5750 Kgs, valued ₹ 1.84 lakh, illegally being transported from Luimawi village without permit by one TATA truck driven by Lalduhawma(28) s/o Lalhmingmawia(L) of Phunchawng Mel-6 (Present Address – Champhai Kanan veng) at Bawrai, Zawlnuam. Driver of the truck was arrested and forwarded yesterday to Mamit Court for judicial custody.
Kanhmun PS case No.10/2022 Dt.10/2/2022 u/s 7(1)(a)(ii) of Essential Commodities Act, 1955 has been registered and further investigation is in progress.
