 On 04.5.2021 @11:45am Champhai Police on duty at Bethel Veng, Champhai recovered and seized 5(five) soap cases containing brown powder suspected to be Heroin about 62grams value of Rs. 250,000/- from the possession of Zohmangaiha (22) s/o Liansailova of Farkawn village, Champhai District who was travelling in Zokhawthar Sumo B/R No. MZ-04-2962. Hence, CPI PSC/No 35/2021 Dt. 04.05.2021 U/s 21(b) ND & PS Act was registered.

On Du 10.05.2021, Champhai police conducted random checking at the outskirt of Mualkawi village and at 5:30 PM, they recovered 4400 bags of fertilizers v/o Rs. 34,80,000/- which were transported by the following vehicles without any permit.

1) AS-01GC-5522 – Sunam Tamang (41) s/o Rem Tamang of Latumbhai, Jaintia Hills, Meghalaya

2) WB-41G-9958 – SK Mirash (34) s/o SK Islam of Bardhaman, Kolkata, W.Bengal.

3) WB-41G-1905 – Parthaw Vishwas (39) s/o Pariwal Vishwas of Murshidabad, W. Bengal.

4) WB-23C-8830 – Babu Sheik (35) Gulam Sheik of Pisna Nagar, W.Bengal.

5) WB-33C-9393 – Souvk Seth (29) s/o Ajit Seth of Kolkata, W.Bengal.

6) WB-41G-9404 – Ali Raja (35) s/o Alla Uddin of Pash Garam, Hailakandi, Assam.

7) WB-23D-2526 – 1Ali (32) s/o A.Ghani (L) of Askol, Bihar.

8) WB-S1B-6712 – Zamir Uddin (34) s/o JK Laskar of Bagha Bazar, Silchar, Assam.

Hence, CPI PS C/No.38/21 DL 10.05.2021 U/S 7(1)(a)(ii) of the EC Act, was registered.

 On 13.05.2021,a Suo Moto FIR was submitted by ASI Laltlanchhuaha of Champhai PS that on 14.05.2021 @ 6:00 AM Champhai Police and 8 AR, Champhai conducted checking at Champhai to Zotlang bypass road and recovered 10 soap cases containing brown powder suspected to be Heroin No.4 weighing 126 grms Value of Rs. 5,00,000/- in local market from the possession of one Lalremunta (40) S/O Lalrema (L) of Vengsang, PHE Veng Champhai which was kept inside black polythene. The said Lalremruata (40) S/O Lalrema (L) of Vengsang, PHE Veng Champhai claimed himself as the owner of the said articles. Hence the case CPI PSC/No.41/21 Dt. 14.05.2021 US 21(b) ND & PS Act was registered.

On 18.5.2021 ASI Hmingthantluanga and party conducted random checking at Electric veng, Champhai and @ 12:15am they recovered 2(two) soap cases containing brown powder suspected to be Heroin weighing about 25grams value of Rs. 100,000/- (approx) in local market from the possession of Lalhmingthanga (36) S/o Khuangthuama of Venglai, Champhai. Hence, the case. CPI PSC/No.44/21 Dt. 18.05.2021 U/S 21(b) ND & PS Act was registered.

On 18.05.2021 FIR was submitted by ASI C.Hmingthantluanga of Champhai PS stating that they conduct random checking at Vengthar, Champhai and at 3:15pm, they recovered and seized 5(five) soap cases containing brown powder suspected to be Heroin weighing 66 grams with value of Rs. 2,50,000/- (approx) in local market from the possession of Dallamtunga (30) s/o Ginkhennanga of Vengthar Champhai. Hence, the case.CPI PSC/No.45/21Dt. 18.05.2021 U/S 21(b) ND & PS Act was registered.

On 19.05.2021, FIR was submitted by SI C Lalsangliana of Champhai PS stating that on the same day, he received telephonic information from Chalbawia Junction, Khankawn Police Check Gate, regarding the detention of one vehicle on suspicious ground. So, he rushed to the spot and after preparing grounds of belief and obtaining authorisation, they checked the detained vehicle(Sumo) Br. No MZ 04-7640 driven by H.Vanlalrinsanga (27) s/o H.Vanllahluna of Zokhawthar P.A Bawngkawn S.A Mual, Aizawl and at 7:30 AM, they recovered two(2) soap cases containing brown powder suspected to be heroin weighing 25 grams Value of Rs. 1,00,000/- (approx). The accused (driver) along with his vehicle was arrested and seized CPI PSC/No.46/21Dt. 19.05.2021 U/S 21(b)/25 ND & PS Act was registered.

On 23.05.2021, a Suo-Moto FIR was submitted by SI C.Lalsangliana of Champhai PS that on 22.05.2021 @ 7:30 PM, Chalbawia Junction Khankawn Police Check-gate duty detained one Vehicle (TATA 207 Pick-up) BR No. MZ-04-A-2012 driven by Lalramchhana(30) s/o Lalengliana of Zion Veng Champhai plying from Bulfekzawl, Myanmar Border towards Aizawl which was carrying 100 nos. of Blue Gas Cylinder (China Made) value of Rs. 6,00,000/- (each cylinder contains 20 Ltrs). It was learnt that the color of cylinder blue is not the approved standard for Oxygen Cylinders in India (BIS standard) and therefore the content of the said cylinders cannot be confirmed as to whether it is oxygen or not. Moreover, the items do not have any specification and documents for support whether it is legal or illegally manufactured. The said items belongs to R.Lalremruati @ Kuri of Chhinga Veng, Aizawl (Ph.no. 8413838689) and according to her, the items are intended to be sold in the open market in Aizawl city. Hence, the case. CPI PSC/No.47/21 Dt 23.05.2021 U/S 9B(1)(a)(b) of The Explosive Act 1884 r/w 5(5) of MC & PC Act 2020 was registered.
