On 21.12.2022, Kanhmun Police Station (Mamit District) team, on checking one vehicle carrying sand (Langkaih balu), recovered and seized 37.1 Kgs of Ganja, buried in the load. Further enquiry revealed that the Ganja was procured from Karimganj District, Assam. Two accused – driver Rohen Lalchhanhima (27) of ITI Veng, Aizawl and Margona Reang (32) of Medilicherra, Karimganj Dist, Assam were arrested and Kanhmun PS u/s 21(C) ND&PS Act r/w 34 IPC has been registered for further investigation.
