On the night of 20.5.2022, Khawzawl Police at Tuisenphai Check gate seized 500 bags of urea fertilizer, valued ₹ 11 lakhs, illegally being transported from Silchar (Assam) without permit by one truck driven by Thangsiankhaia s/o Vanlalhnuna of Bethel Veng, Champhai. Legal action against the owner and other accused persons has been taken. Further investigation is in progress.
