Aiming at rejuvenating VDPs, SP Lawngtlai District convened a meeting with members of Village Defence Party (VDP) from Tuichawntlang and AOC Veng, Lawngtlai on 8.9.2022. The VDP members were motivated and urged to perform their duties and also give their best in prevention of crimes and other illegal activities. They were requested to promptly report any inputs, which could help Police in their duties. It was also reported that in the past, these VDP units had done good works in their own jurisdictions, assisting day-to-day policing.
