In the evening of 13.4.2023, joint operation conducted by Special Narcotics PS and 2nd Assam Rifles seized 63.7 grams (5 soap cases) of heroin, valued over ₹30 lakhs in international market from the joint possession of Zodinsanga (26) of New Champhai and VL Hruaitluanga (29) of Champhai Bethel Veng. A case u/s 21(b)/29(1)/25 ND&PS Act registered at Special Narcotic PS for further investigation.
