After the Central Government issued three gazette notifications informing that the three new criminal laws such as Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (BSA) will be effective from 1st July, 2024, Mizoram Police is organising 2nd phase of five days training on sensitization of new criminal laws from 18th March, 2024 at Mizoram Police Headquarters Multipurpose Hall, Aizawl in collaboration with Bureau of Police Research & Development (BPR&D). The training was inaugurated by Pu Anil Shukla, IPS, DGP, Mizoram today. In his inaugural speech Pu Anil Shukla, IPS, DGP, Mizoram urged all the trainees to understand the three new laws and to further train other officers and staff of their respective units.
The training is attended by officers from all districts of Mizoram. Mr. Rajashekhara N, IPS, DIG/Dy. Director, BPR&D, Mr. Sukumar Gosh, Dy. SP, Central Academy for Police Training, Bhopal and Mr. Amalendu Halder, Dy.SP, Central Training Institute, Kolata give lectures on various topics under the three new laws. Training will be completed on 22nd March, 2024. Inauguration function of the training was attended by Senior Police Officers.
