Acting on specific information, a team of CID(SB) conducted covert operation on 27.08.2024 and intercepted one goods carrier truck (TATA 407 bearing Registration No.MZ-04A – 6063) near Kulikawn East Presbyterian Church. The team seized 39.257 Kgs (total 4 lakhs tablets) of suspected methamphetamine, valued Rs.5,10,34,100, concealed inside 17 electric air coolers which were transported from Zokhawthar, Champhai, District. The driver of the vehicle and the receiver of the psychotropic substance were apprehended at the spot. The following apprehended persons along with the seized drugs were handed over to Special Narcotics Police Station.
