Teams of State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) from 1st Battalion Mizoram Armed Police (MAP), 3rd Bn. MAP, 5th Indian Reserve (IR Mizoram) Battallion, Mizoram police, PWD officials, medical team and Local (YMA) volunteers are carrying out rescue operations at the Landslide at Berawlui stone quarry on the outskirts of Aizawl which occured on the morning of 12.05.2018 (Saturday) at 7:30 AM killing at least four persons, including two girls.
All bodies buried under the debris were recovered and were laid to rest at their respective localities after funeral services.
