In observance of ‘International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking” a function for disposing narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances was jointly conducted by CID (Crime), Aizawl DEF and Serchhip DEF at Zoological Park incinerator, Sakawrtuichun. The disposal function was chaired by Pu Lalhuliana Fanai, S.P CID (Crime). The following drugs and psychotropic substances were destroyed by Pu Neihchungnunga, DIG(CID), the Chief Guest of the function:

Moreover, ‘Awareness on Drug Abuse and its Prevention’ was also conducted at P.G HSS, Tuikhuahtlang, Aizawl where Pu Lalbiakkila, Addl. S.P CID (Crime) act as a resource person.
In Serchhip District, in observance of “International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, 2019” on June 26th, ‘Anti-Drugs Run’ was organised by Serchhip Police in collaboration with ‘Hero Motorcorp’ & the District Legal Services Authority, Serchhip (Theme of this year is Health for justice & Justice for Health). About 100 Higher & Higher secondary school students and 20 Police personnel from Serchhip DEF participated in the run for almost 3Kms from IOC Veng to Serchhip Bazaar. Awareness cum Signature Campaign for students of various schools in Serchhip town was also organised at Auditorium.
