The Mizoram Police Welfare Society (MPWS) has acquired for the first time 1 (one) Oil Tanker and 1 (one) LPG Carrier which were formally handed over to the Chairman, Mizoram Police Welfare Society, Mr. SBK Singh,IPS, DGP Mizoram on 27.04.2021 (Tuesday). The oil tanker, Ashok Leyland Ecomet 1615, will be utilized by the Mizoram Police Petrol Pump (located near F&ES Office, Hunthar Veng) while Mizoram Police Gas Agency (located at 1stBn MAP) will operate the LPG Carrier, Ashok Leyland Ecomet 1615.
The Mizoram Police Petrol Pump and the Mizoram Police Gas Agency operate under the Mizoram Police Welfare Society and they have been providing services to the families of police personnel and also to the general public since 7.01.1997 and 1.06.2000 respectively. The newly acquired assets are expected to vastly improve the services of the agencies and will be crucial in enabling continuous flow of essential commodities in difficult times.
