On 11.12.2021 at around 6:30pm, Champhai Police at Chalbawia Junction Khankawn Police Checkgate duty recovered and seized 1(one) soap case containing brown powder suspected to be Heroin weighing 15 grams, value of Rs. 50,000/-(approx) in local market rate from the illegal possession of Lairemruata (36) S/o Biakremzuala of Khawzawl Vengthar who was the pillion rider of one motor Cycle(Yamaha R-15 V-3) B/R No.Mz-01R-9930 driven by Lalduhawma(37) S/o Raldoliana of Khawzawl Zuchhhip veng. The contraband item was wrapped in a black polythene which was kept inside a small bag(gray) colour carried by the said pillion rider. Hence, the case. CPI PSC/No. 102/21 Dt. 11.12.2021 U/s 21(b)/25/29 ND&PS Act was registered.
On 31.12.2021 @ 12:17 Pm, based on reliable source, Champhai PS Plain Cloth recovered 5(five) soap cases containing brown powder suspected to be Heroin at New Champhai, weighing 63 grams value of Rs. 2,50,000/- (approx) in local market from the possession of Lalrammawia (20) s/o Lalsawivunga of Khawmawi, Myanmar and Thuamlianthanga(29)s/o Pumdothanga of Thinglei, Myanmar, P/A Khawmawi Myanmar. The contraband items were seized in the presence of reliable witness by observing all formalities. Hence, CPI PS C/No 107/21 Dr. 31.12.2021 w/S 21(b)/29 ND & PS Act r/w 14 (a) Foreigner Act was registered.
