On 12.5.2022, Serchhip District Special Branch team seized Heroin, weighing 64.21 grams, contained in 5 soap cases, valued ₹ 1.5 lakh at local market and approx. ₹ 32 lakhs in International market, from Lalchhuani (54) d/o Thangluaia (L) of Saron Veng, Serchhip at Kikawn, Serchhip. She along with her 3 accomplices, namely 1).Vanlalhluna (25) of Kawn Veng, Keitum, 2).Lalsangpuia (29) of Saron Veng, Serchhip and 3).Mesak Lalremruata (21) of Saron Veng, Serchhip were arrested and booked under Serchhip PS Case No.41/22 Dt.12.05.2022 u/s 21(b),25 and 29 of ND&PS Act. Further investigation is in progress.
