Acting on a specific input, Ngopa PS seized 33 grams of heroin valued Rs. 16,50,000/- in international market from the joint possession of Remsangpuia (44) s/o H. Chalmawia of Tualbung Veng, Ngopa, Saitual District and P.B Zoramthanga (39) s/o P.B. Lalbuanga of Vety Veng, Ngopa, Saitual District at the outskirt of Ngopa town (Mimbung road). Further enquiry revealed that the accused persons were financed by one Zothanpari (29) w/o Lalremliana of Tuikhur Veng, Ngopa, Saitual District and one Honda Dio Scooty No. MZ 01/N-6401 was knowingly lent by L.B. Muanpuii (35) w/o Lalrohlua of Chhim Veng, Ngopa to be used for their conveyance. Hence, the accused and other accomplices were arrested.Further investigation is in progress.
