New Police Out Post(OP) at Seling, Aizawl District was formally inaugurated on 20.12.2022 by Pu Lalchamliana, Hon’ble Home Minister Mizoram in the presence of Pu R.Lalzirliana, Hon’ble Minister, P&E Deptt etc., DGP Mizoram Pu Devesh Chandra Srivastva IPS, IGP(Hqrs), IGP(Intel), DC Aizawl, SP Aizawl & other senior police officers under Aizawl DEF, VC & all NGOs of Seling including VC members from nearby villages, in an official inaugural function held at VC House, Seling.
Govt. of Mizoram Home Department vide its Notification No. A.11029/5/2019-HM(CP) Dt. 30.12.2019 had approved establishment of Police Out Post at Seling, Aizawl District.
The new Out Post will be manned by 6 Unarmed staff (1 ASI, 2 HCs & 3 Constables) from the existing strength of Aizawl DEF with 6 Armed personnel from MAP to be posted on attachement. It will function and operate under the jurisdiction and control of Bawngkawn PS, under the overall administrative control of SP, Aizawl.
The following villages fall under the jurisdiction of Seling Police Out Post :
i) Seling ii) Thingsulthliah iii) Thingsul Tlangnuam iv) CTI Sesawng v) Sesawng vi) Mualnuam vii) Tuirini Khawruhlian Kai viii) Tuirini Saitual Kai ix) Tlungvel x) Darlawng xi) Phulmawi xii) Tuikhurhlu
Pertinently, Village Council, Seling has generously donated land and building for establishment of Seling OP. Anything of interest can now be done anytime at Seling OP at Mobile No – 7005994956 for all villages under its jurisdiction. Checking of vehicles for smuggling contraband items will also be conducted by the staff.
