Early morning of 15.1.2023 @ 3:00 AM, a joint team of 2nd Assam Rifles and CID(SB), while conducting joint operation at Thuampui (Aizawl) recovered and seized 98000 tablets/49 bottles of Drozine (Triprolidine HCI & Pseudoephedrine HCI Tablets), weighing 9.8 Kgs, valued ₹ 9.8 Crores in international market, from the illegal possession of T. Lalhminghlua (27) and Lalrinfeli (32), both residents of Lunglei Venghlun. Preliminary investigation reveals that the consignment was bound for Myanmar. Both arrested and further investigation is in progress to ascertain forward/ backward linkages.
