In the night of 3.2.2023, joint operation team of #ChamphaiPolice and 42nd Assam Rifles, while conducting random checking at the outskirt of Mualkawi village (Zokhawthar road), Champhai recovered 119 grams (9 soap cases) of heroin, valued over ₹59 lakhs in international market from the possession of Vanlalchama (36) s/o Vanlaltlana of Khamrang village, Kolasib District, the driver of one vehicle plying from Zokhawthar to Champhai. FIR u/s 21(b)/25 ND&PS Act registered for further investigation.
