The 5th meeting of the Sub-Committee of State Level Coordination Committee (SLCC) on Regulation of the activities of NBFCs and UIBs for the State of Mizoram was chaired Pu Ajay Chaudhry, IPS, Additional DGP, Mizoram Police on February 10, at the DGP Conference Hall, PHQ, Aizawl. The meeting attended by senior officials from Institutional Finance and State Lottery (IF&SL), Law and Judicial Department, Govt. of Mizoram, Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) and Mizoram Police discussed important topics including steps taken for notification of rules under the Mizoram Protection of Interest of Depositors Act (MPID) 2019 and The Banning of Unregulated Deposit Schemes (BUDS) Act , 2019, capacity building of LEAs by SEBI, status of cases of unregulated deposits and complaints on digital lending apps. All stakeholders re-emphasised their commitments for regulation of activities of NBFCs and UIBs in the State.
