Yet another seizure of #Arecanuts. In the night of 29.4.2023, #ChamphaiPolice patrolling party recovered 120 bags (approx. 9600 Kgs.) of dry Areca nuts, suspected to have been illegally smuggled from Myanmar, kept in an open space/ground near YMA Park at Zion veng, Champhai. The recovered arecanuts were seized from the joint possession of four persons – 1) Lalthlamuana of Bethel veng, 2) Lalramchhinhimi of Electric veng, 3) Baby Laltlansai of Kahrawt veng and 4) Lalzuithangi of Zion veng, all of Champhai. The seized items are being handed over to Superintendent, Custom Preventive Force, Champhai for further legal action. Well done again, Team #Champhai. Keep going. Once again, we seek constant support of the general public and Civil Society to check all kind of illegal activities.
