The 21st edition of the Mizoram Police Sports Meet held during 18th – 22nd September, 2023 was concluded yesterday with great fanfare at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium, Mualpui, Aizawl. Hon’ble Home Minister, Mizoram Pu Lalchamliana graced the Closing Ceremony as Chief Guest.
Central Range Contingent consisting of Aizawl DEF, Saitual DEF & Traffic clinched the ‘Overall Champion’s Trophy’, bagging 19 Gold, 17 Silver and 15 Bronze medals.
R/C 51 Lalrinawmi of Southern Range Contingent was adjudged ‘All Round Best (Women)’, bagging 2 Gold & 2 Silver medals; and ‘All Round Best (Men)’ Hav.Lalhmangaihtluanga of 3rd Bn. MAP also bagged 4 Gold & 1 Bronze medals.
Various Districts/Battalion s/Units of Mizoram Police, divided into 12 (twelve) Contingents, competed in 18 different Sports disciplines during the five-day event.
