On 05.10.2021 at around 3:45pm, Chalbawia Junction Khankawn Police Checkgate duty recovered and seized S(five) tranparent polythene pack containing brown powder kept inside green racksack suspected to be heroin No-4 weighing 64grams value of Rs. 2,50,000/ (approx.) in local market from the possession of Tlangrodinga (27) Kapruma (L) of Bethel Veng, Champhai. The seized contraband items were transported by one Auto Rickshaw B/R No. Mz-04A-3272 driven by Lalchhanchhuaha (27) S/o Lalrinthanga of Bethel, Champhai and were transported through Bulfek Kai (Zote village). Hence, CPI PS C/No.81/2021 Dt.05.10.2021 U 21(b) ND & PS Act was registered.
On 05.10.2021 @ 9:30pm, Chalbawia Junction Khankawn Police Checkgate duty recovered and seized 7 soap cases containing brown powder suspected to be heroin No-4 weighing 94grams value of Rs. 350,000/- (approx.) in local market from the illegal possession of the passenger Laldinliani (32) d/o Labilhthanga of Lianhina, Myanmar which she kept inside her hand bag from one vehicle Sumo (Maxi Cab) B/R No. Mz-01F-5302 driven by Lalmuankima (38) S/o Zomawia of Chanmari, Aizawl. Hence, CPI PS C/No 82/2021 D1.05.10.2021 U/s 21(b) N & PS Act r/w 14 Foreigner Act was registered.
On 06.10.2021 at 8:00pm, a written FIR was submitted by Vanlaltluanga, G/5007251 ‘D’ Coy, gth Assam Rifles, Champhai that on the evening of 06.10.2021 while they were on duty at Zotlang by-pass road, they recovered 20 (twenty) soap cases of brown powder kept inside one sachel bag suspected to be heroin No-4 weighing 235grams value of Rs.10,00,000/- (approx.) in local market from one Motorcycle (Bullet) B/R NBo. Mz-03-6708, whose rider(unknown) fled away after seeing the Assam Rifles party. The pillion rider, Laldinengi (26) d/o Vailianchhawna of New Champhai was apprehended along with the seized articles. Hence, CPI PS C/No.83/2021 Dt.05.10.2021 U/s 21(b)/29 ND & PS Act was registered.
On 12.10.2021 at around 11:30pm, Police duty at Chalbawia Junction Khankawn Police Check Gate recovered and seized ten (10) soap cases containing brown powder suspected to be heroin weighing 137grams V/O Rs. 500,000/- (approx.) in local market. The contraband items were hidden between the dash board and the engine of maxi cab B/R No.MZ-01J-4113 which was driven by Lalthangliana (29) S/o Zapauva Salem Veng. Aizawl. The rael owner of the contraband items Zohmangaiha (22) S/o Lalhrilmawii of Tlangnuam Vengthar, Aizawl presently staying at Zokhawthar has also been arrested. Hence, CPI PS C/No.85/2021 Dt. 12.10.2021 U/s 21(b)/25 ND & PS Act was registered.
On 14.10.2021 SI P.Vanlalhruaitluanga of Champhai PS submitted an enquiry report that on 13.10.2021 at around 6:00am, while he was on duty at Champhai PS, a telephonic information was received from OC Champhai PS stating that he had received information from one reliable person that one white nylon bag containing soap cases was found by Vanlalnunpuia (24) S/o T.Sangpianga of Vengthar, Champhai loaded on his vehicle (Sumo, RL.Chhakchhuak) B/R. No Mz-04-2772 in pursuance to this information, party left the PS for Sumo Counter to enquire the matter. On reaching the spot it was found that one white nylon bag containing 58 soap cases of brown powder suspected to be Heroin weighing 705 grams value of Rs.29,00,000/- (approx.) in local market rate and seized the said articles in the presence of reliable witnesses. During enquiry the CCTV footage installed near the PO were thoroughly checked and it was found that 2(two) unidentified females were seen to have loaded the white nylon bag on top of the above mentioned vehicle(sumo). After loading the bag they were seen leaving the PO by one scooty (Yamaha Ray) B/R No. Mz-01R-9652. One of the suspected person Zothansangi (32) d/o Vanlaltlana (L) of New Champhai was apprehended and interrogated at the PS on 14.10.2021. During interrogation she admitted that she had loaded the white nylon bag on top of the said vehicle and she was forwarded to CJM Court, Champhai on 14.10.2021. Hence, CPI PS C/No.86/2021 Dt. 14.10.2021 U/s 21(c) ND & PS Act was registered.
On 15.10.2021 at 12:22am Chalbawia Junction Khankawn Police Checkgate Duty receovered and seized 7 soap cases containing brown powder weighing 93 grams values of Rs.350,000/ (approx.) from the illegal possession of one Tualsiankhama (24) S/o Thangzakhama of Bethel, Champhai which was kept inside the black rack sack in the presence of reliable witness by preparing seizure memo. Hence, CPI PS C/No.89/2021 Dr.15.10.2021 U/s 21(b) ND & PS Act was registered
On 19.10.2021 @ 7:00 Am, Chalbawia Junction Khankawn Police Checkgate Duty recovered and seized 6(six) soap cases containing brown powder suspected to be heroin weighing 81 grame value of Rs.300000/- (Approx) in local market rate from the possession of Nangpianzova (24) s/o Haukhangina of Ngur Village while lying from Champhai to Khawzawl by one rotor Cycle (Yamaha FZ- S) Br.NO DL SS- AP-1698. Hence, CPI PS C/NO 90/21 Dt. 19.10.2021 U/S 21(b)/25 ND & PS Act was registered.
On 21.10.2021 11:00 AM, Chalbawiha Junction, Khankawn Police Checkgate duty and CID (SB), Champhai recovered and seized 22(twenty two) soap cases containing brown powder suspected to be Heroin weighing 272 grams, value of Rs. 11,00,000/- (approx.) in local market rate from the possession of Thangngaihliana @ D.Liana (48) s/o Thangtinthawnga of Selam Village P/A Chhura Hmun, Champhai Bethel while plying from Champhai to Aizawl by one vehicle Bolero Pick-Up BR. No. MN-02/A-0103 driven by Hauchhawntluanga (23) s/o Siamrodinga of Vaikhawtlang village P/A Chhura Hmun, Bethel Champhai. Hence CPI PS C/NO 93/21 Dt U/S 21(c) ND & PS Act wad reistered.
On 23/10/2021 at around 7:15am, Chalbawia Junction Khankawn Police Checkgate duty recovered 2(two) soap cases containing brown powder suspected to be Heroin weighing 26grams value of Rs. 100,000/- (approx.) in local market from one vehicle Sumo (Maxi Cab) driven by Samuela (27) S/o Lallawmzuala of Lawngtlai belonging to Liandeihmawii (27) D/o SC Thangmanga and Lalthanmawia (21) S/o Lalnghakliana both of Maubawk, Aizawl, Aizawl District. Hence, CPI PS C/NO 94/21 Dr.23.10.2021 U/S 21(b)/29ND & PS Act.was registered.
On 09.10.2021, a written FIR was submitted by ASI C Zohmingliana of Champhai PS stating that on 09.10.2021, Joint operation was launch by Champhai Police Station Staff and Zokhawthar Police Station Staff in between Champhai and Zokhawthar at the outskirt of Zokhawthar village about 1 KM far from Zokhawthar towards Champhai at around 7:00pm, one vehicle TATA(407) B/R No. Mz-04A-5399 coming from Zokhawthar to Champhai was stopped and rounds of belief was prepared and checking was conducted in the presence of reliable witnesses and recovered 49 soap cases containing brown powder suspected to be heroin weighing 629 grams value of Rs. 2,450,000/- (approx.) from the possession of Lalkohkima (33) S/o Lalsawithanga of Tuikual North, Aizawl.
