Date & Place of Occurence : 18.12.1991 at Near Sinzawl Village
Brief of Action causing such death : On receipt of information about the movements of armed insurgent group in Khawkawn village, MAP patrolling party chased them towards Tuivai river (bordering Manipur) on 18.12.1991. The armed insurgent group laid an ambush near Tuivai river towards Mizoram. During the encounter, C/605 Rokima was killed and two other armed insurgent group were also killed in the encounter.
He was awarded President’s Police Medal for Gallantry posthumously in the year 1994.
