On the morning of 12th October 2019, Vairengte Police on duty at ILP Checkgate on searching one brand new Maruti Breeza vehicle detected and seized suspected FICN amounting to Rs. 41,01500/- (Forty one lakh one thousand five hundred) in 2 denominations (Rs. 2000 note x 1572 nos & Rs. 500 note x 1915 nos.) hidden inside a black racksack placed near the vehicle engine. The driver and passenger of the vehicle 1).Shalik Ahmed 24 yrs s/o Abdul Sattar and 2). Kabir Hussain 23 yrs s/o Asaddar Ali of Karimganj, Assam were arrested.
